Kenneth McCracken Obituary

Kenneth E. McCracken, 91 of Blairsville, PA, entered the embrace of Christ on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Communities of Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.  He was born May 4, 1932 in Graceton, PA, the son of the late Paul McCracken and Beulah (Ling) McCracken.

Ken was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA.  He retired after 40 years from Blairsville Westinghouse as a Pilger.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of the Italian Club, and VFW of Blairsville. Ken was an avid golfer, and a member of Mannitto Golf Club. Ken was also a Steelers fan.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances (Taccone) McCracken, Blairsville, PA; son, Kenneth E. McCracken, Jr., CA; daughter, Kelly C. Wysard & husband, Jeffrey, CA; son, Gregory P. McCracken, Latrobe, PA; son, Mark W. McCracken & wife, Linda, CA; daughter, Lisa A. Sandy & husband, Brett, Latrobe, PA; grandchildren: Clairre & husband James, Gregory Jr., Emily, Benjamin & Samuel; great grandchild, Ashton and his sisters: Marlene Crucis & husband, Bob, VA, Janice Lore & husband, Barry, Blairsville, PA and Carol McCracken, Homer City, PA.  He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.

In keeping with the family's wishes, all services will be private.  Interment will be held in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Communities of Indian Haven, 1675 Saltsburg Avenue, Indiana, PA 15701.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home, Blairsville, PA. The McCracken family would like to humbly thank the Communities of Indian Haven and 365 Hospice for their compassionate care.
